Action Factory have worked with Coldwell Activity Centre, Nelson, over a number of years and the spiral was part of a rolling programme of arts projects. These projects are part of a bigger scheme to transform the building and grounds for the benefits of the visitors. The spiral incorporates over sixty individual  art works created by user groups, some of whom are at risk, socially excluded people.
