Our Work

Action Factory focuses on three main portfolios of work.   These are:

 One in Four

Our contribution to people's well-being and their journey to recovery has been an aspect of our work for many years. We have achieved this by developing creative partnerships with health professionals enabling patients to create original art to enhance their environments for the benefit of the wider community. Additionally we have worked with patients and health professionals to explore issues, and publish those in the form of guides to improve patient care. Other partnerships have focused on improvements to the built environment experienced by patients in longer term care under the mental health act.

 Small World

- Arts with Asylum Seekers, Refugees and other marginalised communities.  Action Factory has worked with hard to reach and marginalised communities for many years. We are committed to developing and providing arts opportunities for people and places with the least engagement.

Cultural Connections

This aspect of our portfolio encompasses work with older people, intergenerational work, cross cultural activity, work in education, training, support for emerging artists, and heritage initiatives.

Below are a few of the projects that fall within these portfolio areas.  Additionally, you can navigate the links to the left of this page to discover some of the projects we have undertaken in a variety of settings using a variety of art forms.
