Groups from community centre's in Blackburn worked together on a visual arts project. An iconic Blackburn landmark was identified as a theme for the piece, then groups worked collaboratively to create a large painting which is displayed in Bangor Street Community Centre entrance hall.
By participating in this project it was hoped that people would develop their community awareness, get together wth people they would not normally spend time with and make new friends.
The end result is an impressive painting made up of the individual fingerprints of each participant. A celebration event in September allowed all the participating groups to meet up and celebrate their achievement together.
