Children attending half-term art sessions at The Hub, Revidge Community Association's Centre on New Bank Road have been involved in a creative link with Keemo, a successful American online artist.
The children created their own paintings which will be displayed on www.KeemoGallery.com and which will be viewed by visitors from all over the world.
Along with a creative challenge set for the children, Keemo sent them a message saying ‘I am honored to have you use my work as inspiration for your workshop! Wow, honored is an understatement! It all sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could be there.'
The workshop was a great success and the children were creatively inspired by the link with a living artist and the opportunity to have their work displayed internationally.
Kiran - ‘I painted this picture to express my feelings about the things that Keemo had made. He made extraordinary things and that's what makes art a good thing. I really enjoyed this challenge and I hope I can do it again.'
Hafsah - ‘I have learned to be more creative and I enjoyed doing it. It's my piece of painting and I'm proud of myself.'
